Wanted: Ugly Business Cards

POSTED: 1-May 2012 by derek

Do you have an ugly business card? Have you seen one lately? Then please help us to remove them from circulation because nobody likes an ugly business card.

If you’re not sure what an ugly business card looks like, then let us help you:

- If you touch the card and it leaves blank ink all over your hand…it’s an ugly business card.
- if you touch the edges and it’s rough and perforated…it’s an ugly business card.
- If the email address on the card is a free email account … it’s an ugly business card.

There are literally legions of ugly business cards on the loose—help us stop this epidemic before it’s too late.

We’re here to help! Help us rid the world of ugly business cards once and for all.

If you (or a “Friend”) has an ugly business card, we can offer “your friend” a one time special to custom design and print 1000 Foxy Business Cards for only $99. (Regular Price $399)

If you happen to spot an ugly business card running free in the wild, please take a picture of it and email us at info@foxdigitalmedia.com. We will do what we can help them become Foxy.

Keep your website Safe…a WordPress security update is available.

POSTED: 25-April 2012 by derek

The web is a constantly changing place…and can be a dangerous place. We wanted to let you know about the most recent update to WordPress (the underlying technology that many of our sites are built on), that was released just this week. This particular update–Version 3.2.2– improves security for some know exploits to the WordPress software, and is highly recommended for all users.

Just like security updates on your computer are important to prevent hackers and spammers from exploiting your computer, security updates to your website software are also important. Keeping your website software (WordPress in this instance) up to date is the first step in keeping spammers, phishers and other web-criminals from breaking into your website. In-fact in recent months we’ve seen hackers specifically target older versions of WordPress with known security problems—so keeping your website up to date is important.

Every Door Direct Mailer

Every Door Direct Mailer

POSTED: 26-March 2012 by brian

We get asked frequently about mailers and postcards and what is the best way for businesses to get the most bang for their buck.   Whenever this subject comes up, we talk about one of the USPS biggest secrets: Every Door Direct Mailer.   The Every Door Direct Mailer (EDDM) program is an incredibly cost effective way to reach—well—every door in a specific mail route for a very low cost point.   In-fact the cost to mail to every door on a mail-persons route is a fraction of the cost of traditional list-based mailings.  So an obvious question becomes: What are the benefits and limitations of Every Door Mailers?

Google+ vs Facebook

POSTED: 2-August 2011 by derek

The web is abuzz over Google’s entry into the world of Social Media: Google+. With their social media entry, Google is betting the company, but making the name of this new network their corporate name +, insinuating that the web is now better as a result of Google+. Google+ brings social networking to each of it’s services: Search, Gmail, Apps like Google Calendar, YouTube, Google Reader, and more. The added benefit is that users can share what their doing not just from the “Google+” site, but from every Google branded service; the web has gone social.

The question we hear often is this: Is Google+ going make Facebook the next MySpace? (MySpace was a popular and dominant force in Social Media until Facebook came to the scene…today MySpace is nearly dead) My gut reaction is to say no. Why? Because Google+ and Facebook are completely different … yet the same.
